Yah asau Bhagavan punya-skandhas Tathagata-ina bhasitah, a-skandhah sa Tathagata-ina bhasitah. Tasmat Tathagatah bhasate: Punya-skandhah punya-skandhah iti.

Bhagavan aha: Yas ca khalu punah Subhutia kula-putrah va kula-duhita va imam trisahasra-mahasahasram loka-dhatum sapta-ratna-paripur nam krtva, Tathagata-ibhyah arhadbhyah samyak sambudda-ibhyah danam dadyat, yas ca itah dharma-pary-ayad antasas catus padikam api gatham udgrhya, para-ibhyah vistara -ina desayait, samprakasayait, ayam eva tatas nidanam bahutaram punya-skandham prasunuyat. Apramaiyam asamkhyaiyam. Tat kasya hetuah? Atas nirjata. Hi Subhutia Tathagata-anam-arhatam samyak-sambuddha-anam anuttara samyaksambodhih, atas nirjatas ca Buddha Bhagavantah. Tat kasya hetoh? Buddha-dharmah buddhadharmah iti Subhutia, abuddhadharmas ca eva ta i Tathagata-ina bhasitah. Ta-ina-ucyante, buddha-dharmah iti.

The Blessed One said: "Moreover, Subhuti, if a noble son or daughter were to fill this great trichiliocosm with the seven precious treasures and give it as an offering to the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the Fully Enlightened Ones, and if they were to take even a single four-line verse of this Dharma discourse and explain it to others extensively, they would generate a much greater heap of merit, immeasurable and incalculable. Why is that? Because from this, the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment of the Tathagatas arises, and from this, the Buddha Bhagavans arise. Why is that? The Dharma taught by the Tathagatas is the Buddha Dharma, and what is not the Buddha Dharma is also taught by the Tathagatas. Therefore, it is called the Buddha Dharma."

세존께서 말씀하셨다: "더욱이, 수보리야, 만약 어떤 선남자나 선여자가 이 삼천대천세계를 일곱 보물로 가득 채워 여래, 아라한, 정등각에게 공양을 올리고, 만약 그가 이 경전의 한 사구게를 배우고 다른 이들에게 널리 설명하고, 공표한다면, 그로 인해 더 많은 공덕의 축적을 얻게 될 것이다. 헤아릴 수 없고, 수량을 알 수 없을 정도로 많은 공덕을 얻을 것이다. 그 이유는 무엇인가? 이것으로 인해 여래의 무상정등각이 나오고, 여래의 무상정등각이 나오기 때문이다. 왜 그런가? 여래가 가르친 법은 부처의 법이고, 부처의 법이 아닌 것도 여래가 가르친 것이다. 그래서 그것을 부처의 법이라고 부르는 것이다."
